James has a 20 year career in performance. Over the years James has toured with various musicals including Return to the Forbidden Planet, The Way We Were and That’ll Be The Day with credits in a couple of West End concerts along the way. James co-founded the award winning theatre company 2toned in 2008 and began developing his career as a director/producer.
More recently James is a guest director/acting tutor for Rose Bruford College North, Identity School of Acting and The Arden. Directing credits include Tea Time at Liverpool Theatre Festival, Didn’t We at Royal Exchange Manchester and Some Masterchef Sh*t at 53two which travels to EdFringe in 2025. James has developed the musical theatre cabaret, Voices & Lyrics, now with a residency at The Cockatoo Cabaret Bar in Manchester and tours to various theatres around the UK.
James has a number of TV credits and was also the Associate Producer on award winning short film, Chimera, which is currently in development as a feature to start shooting in 2026.
